Dear Parents/Carers,
The children have got off to a great start and are having lots of fun playing together, unfortunately with mixing, children will inevitably also share their germs and so we currently have some children with cold symptoms. This is perfectly normal however we do still need to remember to be vigilant of COVID symptoms:
- a high temperature
- a new, continuous cough – this means coughing a lot, for more than an hour, or 3 or more coughing episodes in 24 hours
- a loss or change to sense of smell or taste – this means they cannot smell or taste anything, or things smell or taste different to normal
If your child displays any of these symptoms they will need to have a PCR test (not a lateral flow) and be able to show us a negative result before returning to preschool.
